As we head in to Autumn it means a new collection from ivy and ginger is on the horizon, with my most recent being The Fruit Collection.
I took inspiration from a catwalk show (Ports 1961) as part of my normal inspiration research I often do to spark my imagination and see where it takes me. I loved how fun and bright the idea of fruit seemed to be and after initially launching a few drop dangles a further collection launch saw more fruit and different shapes being made.
For me nothing beats a pink and yellow combo and I just had to use this for my banana print. I decided throughout to keep all fruit their ‘known’ colours and to play around with an abstract style.

Another pink piece was a peach print (above). I spent a long time drafting ideas for peaches as I had had so many peach requests. In the end settled on a total of three designs. Another being a variation of the above but on a black background and further peach print on a white background, but with more graphic style peach paintings (below).

Further to peaches I also decided to bring studs in to the fruit collection for the first time since launching, and they have been more popular than I imagined, and even almost sold out. The studs are all limited edition so once they have been sold they won’t be restocked!
